I liked the way this product worked. In some ways better than Game Shark, and some ways not. I also finally received the Game Shark I originally ordered and forwarded payment appropriately. The only downside I experienced from this product was the lack of response from the Action Replay programmers that I requested, otherwise I thought that the product was excellent.

The AR Max performs as expected, but it has some severe limitations to it's effectiveness.

The first problem is the loading time. It takes a long time. Then you have to wait again for the codes to load. I used a gameshark previously and didn't have to wait very long at all.

The second issue is that the codes are very limited. The people creating codes for the company produce a few very basic codes and that's that. If you want to add codes, it's likely you will need to look up codebreaker codes and convert them using software on your PC.

The codebreaker is superior product. It seems that is costs about $10 to $20 more (used as neither product seems to be available 'new') than the AR MAX though. It would have been worth it to me as I spent the money to purchase one anyway.
